Open the Bible

Open the Bible is a planned reading program to guide you through reading the entire Bible in a year. Many Bible students have expressed the desire to read through the entirety of the Scriptures, but have lacked a manageable plan or others with whom to be accountable. Open the Bible is a program aimed to support students who want to read daily with a plan to read through the Bible.

Bookmarks - In the digital age, sometimes the novelty of analog tools makes them more useful. Open the Bible offers a monthly bookmark that lists your daily Bible reading. Read the indicated passages for completion - don't let yourself get hung up on words and concepts that you don't fully understand. Once your reading is complete, check off the assignment and go about the rest of your day. In the future, the bookmark may be available in a digital format, but for now the printed (or downloadable) version will guide your daily passages.

Worksheets - To help identify some of the key aspects of your reading, a new worksheet will be available each week. These worksheets will also have deeper points to ponder including references to additional Scriptures that relate to the week's reading. In order to provide guidance fro young readers (and to encourage family discussion of the Bible reading), each worksheet will include The Kids Corner. This selection of questions are appropriate for children and relate directly to ideas that kids can glean from the text.

Future Additions - a new bookmark will be released approximately one week before the beginning of the next month. Printed copies can be requested from Boiling Springs church of Christ. Digital copies can be downloaded from the home OtB page.

As we develop this program, additional resources will be made available. Check this site periodically for new releases and continued information on the program.
